Pressure Washers – Machines for Outdoor Applications

by

pressure washers for outdoor applications

Pressure washers are ideal machines for undertaking cleaning applications in outdoor operations. These washers can be used on hard, rugged surfaces to achieve optimum cleaning results. They are tough on difficult stains and are both highly effective and reliable, especially if the machines are from reputable suppliers like Daimer® — a premier retailer of quality cleaning machines.

Mobile pressure washers are ideal for cleaning outdoor areas and for undertaking operations like cleaning streets, parks, and sidewalks. There are many options available when you are looking to buy a mobile cleaning machine. Machines powered and operated by fuel such as propane, diesel, or gasoline, are ideal if electrical sources are not available outdoors.

If electric pressure washers are preferred, they can be operated outdoors using extension cords and/or long pressure hoses or with a generator if electric outlets are not available. They are also suitable for cleaning indoors, as there are no toxic fumes released during the cleaning process. In addition, they are less noisy than fuel powered machines.

When purchasing a pressure washer, customers must choose between stationary or mobile machines. If the cleaning is confined to one area, a stationary machine is suitable. For areas covering large amounts of land over various areas, choose mobile pressure washers. Mobile machines can be either trailer or truck mounted for easy mobility. Daimer® also offers machines in their Super Max™ series, such as the Super Max™ 12000 series, with Long Hose Technology, allowing the machine to reach places up to 300 feet away without any loss in power

How to Use Pressure Washers for Removing Graffiti

by

removing graffiti

Pressure washers are some of the most forceful machines when it comes to cleaning power. That is exactly the reason why these are the preferred machines for removing graffiti from public places and commercial buildings, such as shopping malls.

How They Work

Pressure washers work by pumping high pressured water or wet steam output to walls and floors that blast away almost all kinds of stains and impurities from the surface. Such a powerful output can remove virtually any type of graffiti regardless of the type of material used. In addition, Daimer®, a leading distributor of cleaning equipment, offers green cleaning solutions for graffiti removal in addition to a line of advanced pressure washers. The Eco-Green® Graffiti Remover solution helps in eliminating graffiti without damaging the surface.

The following are some tips to select the best pressure washers for cleaning up walls and floors.

Learn Specifications

For any pressure washing machine, one of the most important specifications is the pressure level. The higher the pressure level, the more powerful the machine becomes. Pressure levels range from 750 psi to 8000 psi. Machines with medium range pressure levels are suitable for graffiti removal.

In addition, output temperature is an important specification. Some pressure washers give both hot water and cold water outputs, while some other machines are tri-mode machines that offer hot and cold water outputs as well as steam. One such machine is the Super Max™ 12860. This machine offers pressure levels of 3000 psi, a flow rate of 5.0 GPM, and tri-mode capabilities for a range of cleaning projects. The steam output has a temperature of 330°F and is the most effective in removing graffiti.

Flow rate is another important specification. In most machines, the higher the pressure level, the higher the flow rate. However, if there is a lack of drainage near the facility, then one might need a high pressure washing machine with a low flow rate.

Super Max ® 9000 WS

Sandblasting, the process of removing paint and rust from metal surfaces, is an essential task in many industrial settings. However, it is important for users to choose between two methods: compressed air sandblasting and wet sandblasting. Compressed air sandblasting is effective, but can often contaminate businesses with dust. Workers using compressed air sand blasters must also wear a complete protective suit. Wet sandblasting is just as effective but will not contaminate businesses. Additionally, wet sandblasting is much safer. So when it comes down to making the decision as to which form of sandblasting to choose, choose wet sandblasting.

The Super Max ® 9000 WS is one of Daimer®’s wet sand blaster pressure washers. While normal pressure washers can remove dirt, grease, oil, and other substances from metal surfaces, the Super Max ® 9000 WS pressure washers will actually remove a layer of material from the surface. This is essential in removing paint layers, corrosion, rust, and heavy deposits from metal surfaces, returning these surfaces to bare, shiny metal.

The Super Max ® 9000 WS offers intermediate pressure levels (1500 psi) and flow rate (2.8 GPM). And can reach high steam temperatures up to 250ºF. The Super Max ® 9000 WS is a highly versatile pressure washer, as it can be used as a cold water, hot water, steam, and wet sand blaster pressure washer. Users also have the ability to choose amongst the following additional options: trailer mounting and two gun operation configurations.

These wet sand blaster pressure washers can be used with a variety of sand grit medias and sizes. Users can choose among baking soda, tiny plastic pellets, and more. For more abrasive wet sandblasting, choose a larger grit.
